They shouldn’t be required to pay for a child they don’t want. Plain and simple. If a woman doesn’t want to pay for a kid for the rest of her life she has options. She can have an abortion or give the kid up for adoption. If she chooses to keep the child she should be able to be financially responsible for it on her own. There are plenty of government aid programs. A man’s quality of life shouldn’t be deminished for a baby’s. Babies dont NEED expensive disposable diapers (cloth diapers are cheap). I’m not gonna bash on the person that runs unpopular-opinions because they’re just posting these opinions, but deadbeatlover, whatever the fuck your real name is, you are an ignorant faggot.
Okay, yeah I understand that each person has their own opinions, but if you don’t have an educated one, if you don’t consider all the options, THEN SHUT THAT FUCKING FACE OF YOURS AND DO THE WORLD A FAVOR. That kind of careless, shallow remark is just the sort of thing that gets all kinds of bad attention. Did you ever notice that people like you, who abuse the freedom of thought, are the ones that really hurt others or just completely fuck with what other people have to deal with? I don’t think you do. So let’s go over your argument.
First point:

Okay, fair enough. Why? You say that the mother could get an abortion. Sure, but what if she can’t? There is such a thing where their religious or cultural views prevent them from aborting a baby. Besides, THE GUY IS THE ONE THAT GOT HER PREGNANT IN THE FIRST PLACE, BASTARD. WHY THE FUCK SHOULD THE MOTHER BE THE SOLE PROVIDER FOR THE KID? So the father is allowed to leave the pregnant mother and walk out on this kid’s life? Why can’t the mother just leave the child with the father? Oh right, it’s because she’s a girl and she can’t exactly detach herself from the kid without killing it. Funny how most of the consequences fall on the female. Sexist bastards think they can simply wash their hands of something like this and walk away? They just stick their penis in a girl, ejaculate semen, pull out and then say that they don’t want a part in it? “Oh, I’m not the one bearing a living being in my womb. Not my problem.” Well guess what, honey. It fucking is. Because it was your sperm that impregnated her. Son of a bitch.

She can give up the baby. Like, to adoption? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT DOES TO A KID? I mean, unless their adopted parents are stellar (which, in this day and age is quite rare), that kid is going to grow up and at one point hate themselves, wondering why their parents didn’t want the child. And it’s not because they were both casualties in an accident. They just didn’t want to have a financial burden. Right. Like that is totally going to fix a kid’s problems. Fuck, even if they had the strongest personality in the world, the child would still feel abandoned and not good enough at some point in their life. And you don’t give a fuck about their feelings. You cold, sick bastard. You need to seclude yourself under a rock and think about how you would feel under those circumstances.
Next:

All on her own. Let me ask you this: have you ever had to babysit? Hm? If you have, then good for you, you know how difficult it is to take care of a BABY that requires constant feeding, constant changing, and constant care, because this baby is oblivious to most dangers. Now, try babysitting this kid and holding a full time job. No wait, try a part time job. Think you can do it? Fuck no. You know why? BECAUSE THE BABY NEEDS CONSTANT CARE. And unless you can ask neighbors and family to watch the baby, you are out of luck. Even then, you’d have to find a way to pay them back.
Third:
There are plenty of government aid programs.
Financial aid programs. Oh don’t make me laugh. With the economy as it is right now, I don’t know if these would really be able to help you as much as you think they could. Seriously. If so many people had to rely on the government just to take care of their child, don’t you think the economy would be strained? Because so many people can’t afford to raise their child on their own, they would constantly be looking for help from the government and that’s a lot of money. Hell, I know couples that can’t even raise enough money to support their child, how the hell do you think a single person can pull it off on her own? (Ugh. I don’t even want to talk about the government right now. Piss off.)
Hm… What else? Oh. Precious.

Excuse me? The same innocent baby, half of whom’s DNA is YOURS? Oh. Right. Because the man is more important than a baby’s, because a man’s life is his own to live, without needing any obligations whatsoever to anything he doesn’t want to commit himself to. Sexist. Bastard. No, there are some things more important than your selfish desires to live however you want.
Finally:

Hahahaha. You make me laugh. One of these days, I ask that you go to a market (whatever market that you’d like) and make a list of the prices of the items you’d need to raise a baby. Diapers, bottles, stroller, crib, maybe 10 outfits, and 2 toys (because you’re stingy). And you can’t forget baby food and milk formula. Don’t forget the baby powder and the baby wipes. Oh yeah, and some of these things you’ll have to buy more than once a month. Tally up that price, see what you get. Even if you get the cheapest things in the market, it comes out to be pretty expensive. And think of it another way, when you were (or maybe are right now) a teenager, did you have to wear the same two pairs of jeans every day? What about shirts? Jackets? Dresses? Suits? Kids grow, and because they do, you have to constantly buy new clothes for them. Shoes? Psh. During the child’s growth spurt, they might only last 4 months. Babies grow, and they grow fast. Next thing you know, you have to buy a backpack, more clothes, books, pencils, crayons, glasses - for some, different toys like dolls or cars. And then they become teenagers and the way they look becomes important. Like what sort of music they listen to (that’s an iPod and music that you’d have to buy, not to mention a laptop or a computer), what kind of designer labels they wear (if they’re into their appearance), and later - what kind of car they drive. Maybe you think you can be really stingy with your kid, but teenage years are really unstable because that’s when a person is trying to discover themselves and fitting in becomes super important. Yeah, do you think a mother can buy all of that? Sure, if she’s got a big paying job. Like a doctor. But that means she’d never be with her child when he/she’s a baby. You think it’s simple, but kids grow and they aren’t babies anymore, they’re young adults and things start to matter.
You see, deadbeatlover, unless single women with children have the entire support of their entire family, raising just ONE baby is a lot of work. And if the asshole who got her pregnant can’t even help with expenses, then he needs a fucking good reason why not (or he’s just a goddamn douche). Otherwise you’re saying it’s okay for for men to be selfish bastards and walk away from someone that he brought into this world and give them little to no help.
And by the way, even though fathers are required to pay child support, they don’t. They get taken to court by mothers that sorely need money to raise their child and then the men win and they don’t have to pay (probably because they’re broke from doing whatever the hell it is that they wanted to and not being responsible adults in the first place), and sometimes, they don’t even have to pay years of money that they owe. Do you think that’s right? I don’t. Do you know how much a child costs from the age of 0 to age 18? Oh, about a hundred thousand dollars. That’s just a rough estimate taken in 2009 for the lowest average income American single-parent family with only one child. And it’s going up. Of course, this estimate fails to account for any medical accidents and special vacation or trips that the family might take. It’s also not current, so the gigantic inflation that’s occurred would probably bump up that number by quite a bit. Not to mention, there are expensive technologies that children see and desire. Often times, parents in these situations can’t even save for their retirement. Yet you’re asking the mother to take care of that on her own? Fuck you. I want to see you try.
All this being said, there are exceptions (it must shock you that I’m not a hater, given this rant. /sarcasm). There are some women who take advantage of the child support system, and they are just as sick as the men who walk out the door and is never heard from again. But to say that men shouldn’t be held responsible at all for what they’ve done, you’re looking at thousands of families that would never have existed and so many more lives that would be broken because of this.
By the way, if you’re going to make such a short opinion, please try to correct your grammar. It’s an eyesore. (And I apologize to any of my readers if they find mistakes in my reply. My heated fury may have rushed me a bit)
